Yoga & Pilates
Yoga unites body and mind in a rhythmic sequence of asanas (poses) and pranayama (breathing). With regular practice, your body gains strength and flexibility and your mind starts to feel calmer. Your ability to manage daily stress increases.
Pilates teaches your body how to move efficiently, working from the core. It is the perfect complement to yoga as it assists in building the strength and flexibility necessary to perform many yoga asanas.
I’m experienced in training people at all levels, ensuring that beginner students are guided in a way that builds confidence and increases their abilities at a pace that’s comfortable for them, but also keeping more advanced students engaged and challenged.
With my formal training in yoga, Pilates, exercise science and shiatsu, I have a good understanding of the workings of the body and how to work with specific injuries in my clients – from back pain to knee injuries – helping to rehabilitate certain injuries and ensuring that other injuries are not exasperated.
